Hello list,
Mine is a Kitfox S6 with Rotax 912 100HP. I want to install an electric bump, just
in case. Any ideas where it should be placed?
Thanks in advance,
Francisco Icaza, Mexico City.

I mounted mine as close to the header tank outlet as possible. This
proved to be just aft of the bungee bulkhead as the seat pretty much
takes all the room near the header tank.

Hi Francisco,
I have Series V with a 912 100HP. I mounted my facet boost pump under
the passenger seat and close to the outlet of the header tank. It's
easily accessible if there are any future maintenance issues. It's been
trouble free since I started flying it 5 years ago. I do have a 3 way
switch on the instrument panel. Down is pump on. Up is momentary on
and must be held in the up position to operate the pump, and the middle
is off.
Whatever you do, be sure to run a fuel flow test to ensure proper flow
rates. Do this at all possible flight attitudes. If I remember
correctly, AC90-89 is a good source for how to do fuel testing. Also,
EAA has a video on their website explaining how to run the tests.
Hope this helps.
Fly Safe.

idea. Put on a separate switch so you can do your run up with out using
it to prove that your mechanical pump is working fine.
