Subject: Trim Motor Adjustment

I have a series 5 that I can't adjust the trim on. After I do what the
manual says and get the 7/16 inch clearance, I run the horizontal all the
way down as the manual says. When I run it up it goes all the way and there
is no clearance. Any ideas on what is wrong?
When it hits the stop it runs as long as the rocker switch is held. I can't
imagine ever running the horizontal that high. Should I just leave it as
is? Thanks Jim
