Subject: | Kitfox Mk2 Wing dihedral |
Hi everyone,
I am rebuilding a mk2 kitfox and have just fitted the wings for the first time.
I have measured the dihedral angle and it works out at 2.2 degrees per wing.
I was wondering what peoples thoughts on this are ?
It looks ok.
Cheers,
Skelly.

It's user preference, based on both aesthetics and controls. For
controls, the less dihedral the less positive stability in roll. My IV
had 1/2 degree per side. It would not fly straight and level hands-off,
but would roll off onto one side or the other. It also had very low
yaw-roll coupling, meaning it took a lot of yaw (rudder input) to get it
to roll. The aesthetics were nice, though.

Hi Guy
Great to hear you're still around.=C2- I agree with you with you.=C2- M
y Model III had closer to 3 degrees,=C2- It flew great hands off, but the
Rudder did not keep it straight.=C2-
