    Subject: Braided Fuel Lines
--> Kolb-List message posted by: "Larry Bourne" <biglar@gogittum.com> Actuably, this might be a good place to get serious for a minute. The fuel and oil lines I originally used - to make it look sexier - were the "imitation" braid, that just have a braided sleeve that slips over a neoprene (??) tube for appearance. Then, an anodized fitting is pushed over each end, and clamped with a small, partially hidden hose clamp................once again, for appearance. This stuff is JUNK ! ! ! The "real" braided line is a completely different thing, costs a lot more, and the end fittings will make your bankbook cry in pain. THAT stuff is well worth the price - if you want to spend that much - and will do a great job. Little heavier, of course, but wouldn't add too awful much weight. For Vamoose, I've gone back to regular old black neoprene hose that's rated for the job, and I actually think it looks great. Much easier to inspect, too. Broker & Wiser Lar. Subject: Landing Gear
--> Kolb-List message posted by: "Larry Bourne" <biglar@gogittum.com> I'm in the midst of building steel landing gear for Vamoose, and as John H. recommends for uh - plump - Mk III's, I've ordered the heavier duty W-62 wheels, axles, and brakes to replace the standard ones. Soooo............in a week or so, I'll have a complete set-up for sale - aluminum gear legs; wheels; brakes; tires, fittings, and all. What am I bid ?? The gear legs have been shortened about 2". The whole thing is 6 yrs old, but brand new. Different topic - recently, when I've tried to open a picture, I get a drop down saying "What would you like to do with this file ??" Then I have to click "open it," etc. How can I get rid of that ?? I want to just open the pictures, and not hafta fool with it. Impatient Lar.
