The whole idea is to try and keep people out of the propeller when the engine is running. Inexpensive and light, and it may keep a kid/adult out of the propeller. Three cheers for the sport pilot thingy, I went to a little local flyin recently and noticed numerous two-placer "ultralights" tied down. Looks like either some will just drop out or else there's going to be a bunch trying to get through the door at the same time. I'm still debugging my MkIII and taxiing a path through the grass. (actually the thing is covered with bug guts) A starting problem has reared it's head - exasperating since it did so well in the driveway. The Matco's perform about as I expected- marginally, but no surprise looking at those dinky little pads. Adjusted the elevator rod full in so I could get some reasonable "up" before I hit the throttle handle. - Any input on this is welcome. -BB do not archive Richard Harris wrote: >--> Kolb-List message posted by: "Richard Harris" > >where did everyone go ? > > >Richard Harris >MK3 N912RH > > > > > > ________________________________ Message 8 _____________________________________ Time: 09:17:54 PM PST US From: Richard Pike Subject: Re: Kolb-List: Website --> Kolb-List message posted by: Richard Pike Get rolling a bit before you go to full throttle. About two thirds throttle until it gets rolling and then full throttle, then you won't have any trouble with the elevators.
