We get ours from them and they are very small and light weight. Maybe 8 ounces or so. Guy Morgan Galveston, TX do not archive When setting mine up, I used Saab car seat belts. I badly wanted to use the inertial reels, but they weighed far too much. (6 or 8 lbs each) Now, you've got me thinking again.................the ones I installed in my VW Baja Bug are much lighter and more compact. Hmmmmm.......................... I stopped by my airport today -- at 10:30 even -- to see any of those who might have their priorities set better than I have. (I'm working instead of flying today). Just a few out there, still pretty sleepy as usual. I'm glad I have a homebuilt plane to taste just a bit of what the Wright brothers felt, and I'm sure you all would probably agree. A proud day for American Ingenuity! -Ben ===== http://mae.ucdavis.edu/~ransom __________________________________ ________________________________ Message 5 _____________________________________ Time: 02:04:25 PM PST US From: "Kelvin Kurkowski" Subject: Re: Kolb-List: Happy Centennial (not processed: message from valid local sender) --> Kolb-List message posted by: "Kelvin Kurkowski" It is indeed, a celebration of a "giant leap for mankind". The God given blessing of the only species on earth with the ability of reasoned thinking and the physical ability to take it from a thought or idea, to the culmination of today's technology. Agree with brother Pike "can't tell me it's all an accident". I've noticed that there are very few agnostics left in the medical field, just too complex, this life that was created on this ol planet, its just too perfect to be an accident. Consider this your Merry Christmas and Joyous New Year from dry and windy (this week) western Nebraska. The last 8000+ hours have been in aircraft with electronic indicators. I now have over 500 hours on the EIS in the Kolbra and won't consider going back to gauges. If the whole instrument fails, I just keep flying and land at the nearest suitable airport. If just a sender or part of the EIS fails, I fly home.
