Come on Ed, you being pretty hard on the guy.
He's only posted about 10 times since December. He tried to do something
good. The key to pick up one was the send to everyone you know. That made
me immediately check for Hoax and sure enough it was. And now back to Kolbs.

QUARANTINE_LEVEL=4.0 KILL_LEVEL=5.0
--> Kolb-List message posted by: Bob Bean <slyck@frontiernet.net>
Between domestic duties, including brewing up a 5 gal batch of brew
currently bubbling in the kitchen, I've managed to get in some more
prep time on the Kolb. After the landing abuse of last fall I figured the
alignment might be off so I measured that with a chalk line on the floor.
Left wheel was off by about one inch at ten feet out. When I loosen
the bolt at the axle-to-gearleg attachment there is a touch of play
available. This is a great toe-in adjustment method, after swinging it
in the desired direction with a ford wrench and squinching the bolt
back down it's right where it should be. -Happy Bob
So off to my nose....when I created the nose bowl I whimsically
left enough foam to give it a sort of SU-27 droop snoot look.
After looking at that for awhile and increasingly disatisfied by its
goofiness, yesterday I got at it with the big grinder for a little cosmetic
surgery. 15 minutes later with my clothes, face, and lungs coated
with 1/4" of epoxy, fiberglass, foam and paint, voila, a new look.
Brushed on a quick coat of epoxy for overnite and will smooth it
out today. I won't know until it's back out on the taxiway whether
I'll be satisfied, but then there's always next year for a new nose job.
Next item...those lexan wing root fences I have stored in my brain.

Hi Kolbers,
Well another fine visit from a fellow Kolb pilot. John Williamson dropped in here
yesterday afternoon and when I say dropped in I mean DROPPED IN. He made the
shortest landing I have ever seen here at Harris Field. Later laughed an told
him that he used the worst part of the runway..... Anyway was a great visit
and he was up and on route for home by 10:00am this morning. Now off to the airshow..
later guys

Listers,
I apologize if any of my most recent posts have offended anyone or caused
discomfiture in their nether regions, increased the hole in the ozone layer, etc..
Just having some fun on spellin', and tired of the do-good noobs crying wolf on
viruses.
(I'm not the only one.)
I will try to be more somber in the future. ;
) Promise.

John still thinks he's flying hilly-coppers when flying his plane.
This is a little off topic of Kolb but John W & John H, did you guys
fly together in Nam. I just read a couple books about helicopter units
over there and thought maybe you were in those units.
