Works great for me. -Ken ----- Original Message ----- From: "Steve Kroll" Subject: Re: Kolb-List: trimming for torque > --> Kolb-List message posted by: Steve Kroll > > I'd like to get this straight on the torque. If the prop is turning clockwise (looking forward from aft) as on my Mk2, then the airplane should have the tendency to roll left.....is that correct? My airplane wants to roll left hands off. There is also a tendency at cruise power for it to dive(without putting in a pretty fair amount of elevator trim) I understand that as being the result of the high thrust line of all Kolbs and it is easily overcome with the elevator trim tab on my airplane. If I want to get rid of the left rolling tendency, should I put the the permanent trim on the right aileron with the angle up or on the left aileron with the angle down? Theoretically, it seems the result would be the same. > > Steve Kroll > Mk2-171 > do not archive > > > --------------------------------- > > ________________________________ Message 2 _____________________________________ Time: 11:10:58 AM PST US From: Steve Kroll Subject: Re: Kolb-List: trimming for torque --> Kolb-List message posted by: Steve Kroll Howard...... Richard..... Bill, Thanks guys for setting me straight on the trim. My tab will be permanent (although bendable for fine tune). I will put it on the right aileron bent down. Does it need to be in any particular place on the aileron (outboard...inboard)? As far as pitch trim is concerned, I have an adjustable trim tab on the elevator that does an effective job of correcting the dive tendancy at cruise power so I don't think I will mess with reflexing the ailerons. We pretty much centered ours on the aileron. Seems to me it was about 12" X 4". The Jabi on my modified mk 3 is installed and awaiting a final check and oil change before I fire it up for the first time.. ----- Original Message ----- From: "flykolb" Subject: Kolb-List: Detroit > --> Kolb-List message posted by: "flykolb" > > Kolbers, > > I will be visiting in the Detroit area (Southfield) this weekend.
