How does this compare to others with this same setup? Thanks in advance. Giovanni MKIII/912 80566 First flight in a day or two. Beauford seems to be ready, but I think He will escape this one , but if not ,he is ready. I know youre tired of all the ups and downs. They keep moving the projected path to the West. Our percentages of a hit in Houston ,went up to 7% from 4% . If I dont see that thing turn north by morning I am going to start securing my Firefly trailer. Id hate to lose it before I even use it. Batten down the hatches. We will say a prayer for yall. Many people have asked. It came off a Jabi on a Titan. I think it is qver propped as I am only getting 2830 rpm on take off. Still climbs at 8-900 fpm. I am going to cut the tips to make them quieter as mentioned in past emails. This may speed up the engine. The Jabi is mounted on a modified Mk 111. It has the standard du cts. I like the performance so far and am happy with the whole set up and now even the backward throttle arrangement. Gotta get out and take some photos. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Silver Fern Microlights Ltd" Subject: Re: Kolb-List: Check you aileron balances > --> Kolb-List message posted by: "Silver Fern Microlights Ltd" > > Gidday, Woody, what aircraft do you have the Jab on?, How does it fly? are > you happy with it?. > I am in the process of fitting a new one to my Xtra. > What prop and ram-air ducts do you have?, any photo's. > > Kiwi > ----- Original Message ----- > From: "woody" > To: > Subject: Kolb-List: Check you aileron balances > > > > --> Kolb-List message posted by: "woody" > > > > Today while moving Waynes slingshot out of the hanger I snapped off the > > aileron balance. It appears that Tallahassee will only get the edge of the storm. I have done all I can to secure things here and am heading for San Francisco/Sacramento tomorrow AM. If I don't get shaken up by one of their earthquakes I will probably be back in time for Jeanie (sigh). It, and my RV-3 are in their hanger at 2R4, near Pensacola. At the moment, it looks like we'll top out around 100 mph winds, but it's hard to say for sure. The hangers are pretty strong, so hopefully they will hold. Our house is 4 miles from the Gulf in Navarre, but it'll be fine, and we'll ride it out there. Cheers, Rusty (about 30 hours to Ivan)
