I think the old Kolb Co. used one for awhile on their prototype Mk II. Would there be a noticable overall improvement if Ichanged to a composite type? ________________________________ Message 2 _____________________________________ Time: 01:33:49 PM PST US From: "woody" Subject: Re: Kolb-List: Firestar Gear Leg ,Rt main spar, prop :( --> Kolb-List message posted by: "woody" I would be interested in hearing more about this firestar. Where is it? ----- Original Message ----- From: "Kirk Smith" Subject: Re: Kolb-List: Firestar Gear Leg ,Rt main spar, prop :( > --> Kolb-List message posted by: "Kirk Smith" > > > > > PS anyone have a few extra parts to spare. > > > I know a guy in Canada that is selling an entire Firestar 2 that needs some > rebuilding but the cage and gear are fine on it. > > Do not archive > > ________________________________ Message 3 _____________________________________ Time: 03:05:59 PM PST US From: "Richard Swiderwski" Subject: RE: Kolb-List: Precision Propellers --> Kolb-List message posted by: "Richard Swiderwski" William, It's hard to say, I & a buddy of mine have used them for hundreds of hours & were delighted with them. The company was first rate. I heard they changed hands so I'm not sure how they compare to the original out of Vernal Utah. If yours was anything like ours, I can't see how you would get a lot of performance gain. If you have the soft urethane leading edge protection, I don't think you will gain any degree of "toughness". You might find some weight savings. ....Richard Swiderski -----Original Message----- From: owner-kolb-list-server@matronics.com [mailto:owner-kolb-list-server@matronics.com] On Behalf Of williamdgleason@bellsouth.net Subject: Kolb-List: Precision Propellers --> Kolb-List message posted by: I would like to know if anyone is still using Precision Propellers 3 blade wood prop.
