Wow ... you are probably using only a very small fraction of that long runway ... ? Seems to be a very safe location in case of problems on take off as we can see many farmfields in the area ... Thanks for posting ! What about others ... : http://maps.google.com and select the Satelitte link at the upper right ... Meanwhile here's a picture of a big white elephant that is almost shut down by now and only used for freight, it is so long the space shuttle could land there with no problem ... each of the 2 runways is 12000 feet long ! http://maps.google.com/maps?q=montreal,canada&ll=45.676174,-74.038410&spn=0.100937,0.147285&t=k&hl=en Noel (DO NOT ARCHIVE) >Time: 09:40:51 AM PST US >From: Charles & Meredith Blackwell >Subject: Kolb-List: satellite google > >--> Kolb-List message posted by: Charles & Meredith Blackwell > >Nol, > Great site, fun idea. If everyone hasn't already gone to eat, please, somebody grab me and take me to the barbeque place. I will try to contact John H. if he has his cell phone. It just goes to show: with enough power you can make any damn thing fly. 'course it looks like plastic and I doubt any part of it has ever mowed a lawn. David, That's exactly what I was thinking, but not the way I wrote it to the list. I was thinking that the tanks are cheap, so why not test one to destruction and see what it will take. I didn't intend to recommend installation after kicking it out of the back of the truck at road speed or dropping it out of a second story window full of water. :-) Thanks for the clarification.
