Beauford,
The guy who parks his 503 Challenger behind my hangar had a recent problem
with CHT's making strange indications on his EIS. He would get spikes over
400 and then drop to normal ....all we did was bend the sparkplug gaskets away
from the head and "bingo"....back to normal.......?????

Thankee for the note, sir... actually, I did check the two Dykes rings for
gap clearance and they were both
as new... (.013) . Since I am going back into it, will check the bottom
ones as well. I did not gauge the run-out on the cylinder walls, but will
do so when I get the jugs off. Right now, I think the biggest problem will
be to locate the box containing my elderly hone... will put new stones on it
in honor of this event. Will leave
a nice cross-hatch on 'em.
