Yes they have them. I talked to Ray Brown a couple of days ago and he said
they are including them in the MK III X kits.

I'm thinking about a trailer for a Mk III Classic, but I don't have access to the
bird, yet, so.... Can someone tell me what the interior dimensions of a trailer
would need to be to haul a Mk IIIC safely?

Brand new to the list. I just purchased a Firestar of the 90's vintage with a new
Rotax 447. This is an excellent flying machine for the type flying that I and
my club members do on weekends. With the sale came one wheel fairing not installed
and the previous owner cannot find it. Would anyone on the Kolb list
have a new, used or repairable one that they would like to sell? I have tried
to contact TNK Co but unable to contact either by phone or Email. This is a great
group and as a newbe I read it all thank you. Cheers

I have a set I took off my MKIII.
I changed brake systems and the new setup
makes the fenders almost impossible to mount.
They are in good shape, already have the cutouts to fit the landing gear,
One of them has a small chip in the paint about as big as a fingernail
toward the back corner.

Mine is 24' X 8' X 6-1/2' high at the back door. The height is very close
if you use a three blade prop.

Thanks for the info. I was just looking for a ballpark figure, so there's
no need to weight it. I should be OK, with the current 44 pounder, but I'll
be looking to trim that down in the next revision. I'm going to let the CG
be pretty far aft, and maybe add some weight to the nose if needed, because
I know that I can take off 20-30 lbs of weight on the engine in future
versions.
Sorry to hear about all the delays. I usually attribute that level of
excuses to Big Lar, but in your case, I believe you. Now that you're
getting better, it's time to get that thing finished. How about this, let's
both plan to be at the 2006 homecoming. Imagine two alternate engine SS's.
I'm already thinking climb contest :-)
I've sold the RV-3, and will deliver it to TN next week. After that, I need
to get serious about finishing the rework of the cage and other damaged
parts. The engine and mount are all done, but I can't do much else until I
get done with the cage. I have to recover everything too, and long time
readers of the list know how much I love that :-)

The SPG-2 weighs in under 30 lbs. Forgot the exact number, but I
can weigh it if you want. As to when I will finish, how am I to know? I
thought it would be about 4 years ago! Life has its detours. Now that I am
about 80% recovered from that Lymme's disease, I will be chipping away at it
with regularity. My neighbor just did his maiden flight of his RV-7 & has a
smile pasted to his face. There ought to be a law against having so much
fun when your neighbor is down. -Richard
