Flyin at Smoketown on Saturday and met Terry and the Zimmerman boys at Smoketown on Sunday and flew to the Kolb farm to meet John Hauck and Bro Jim and visit Homer. 117 mile round trip, 3 hours and about 9 gals of fuel in the old Ultrastar, Had a great time talking with John, Jim, Homer and the boys, looking at Kolbs and flying over some fantastic countryside. Thanks to Homer for allowing us to fly in and Eugene for the pictures and my Wonderful Wife for allowing me to follow my flying dreams. Great people, Great airplanes and clear sky's, what more could a Kolber ask for. Dan Walter Ultrastar, Ul202 Palmyra, PA. --> Kolb-List message posted by: "Thom Riddle" <jtriddle@adelphia.net> Dave, I'm now flying a 2003 model Allegro 2000 S-LSA w/ 912UL engine. There are three of us now sharing the purchase and overhead costs, and looking for two more for a total of five. Great flying airplane and good visibility considering the engine is in the front, but nothing like the viz in a Kolb or Titan. Attached is a photo of N221FA. do not archive -------- Thom in Buffalo Read this topic online here: http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.php?p=54728#54728 Attachments: http://forums.matronics.com//files/rt_front_qtr_n221fa_187.jpg

I fly in there every couple of weeks. I really liked the looks of the plane, but I'm so tall I was hitting my head on the skylight, looking at each side through the wing roots. :>( J.D. --> Kolb-List message posted by: "Thom Riddle" <jtriddle@adelphia.net> JD, Yes, N221FA was a demo plane I bought from Frank. The seats can be lowered easily and probably enough to accommodate a pretty tall person, (I'm 5'-10) but the wing roots are definitely at eye level for most pilots. The long wing (35 1/2 feet) sure makes it fly differently than my old Tornado w/ 20' wing, and of course my old Firestar too. The Titan would drop in very fast without power but the Allegro is almost a motor glider. do not archive -------- Thom in Buffalo Read this topic online here: http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.php?p=54761#54761

Thom, the Allegro sure is a beautiful looking plane. I think i heard you mention once what your'e flying, but had no idea what it looked like. You had me curious as to what you went to after the titan. Thanks for the response and the nice picture. Safe flying, best regards. Dave Culver ( Please don't archive)

Someone ask me to give him a hand with his beautiful Allegro to push it back a bit into the lineup of planes. I didn't get his name. --> Kolb-List message posted by: "David Key" <dhkey@msn.com> You need to associate the .jpg files with the application you want to open them. How you do that depends on your operating system. Another way to do it is if you are running windows then you can. First download the files to your computer. Then click Start then Run on your main window Then Type "MSPAINT" then hit Enter. Then in the MSPaint application window go to File/Open and find the files you downloaded in the dialog box and click open. That might do it. --> Kolb-List message posted by: Eugene Zimmerman <etzim62@earthlink.net> Hi Bill, The pictures are all JPEG files. The only reason I can think of for them not opening is that the file names may be too long for your browser. If you would like I could try renaming the files and send them to your personal address. I am curious to know if anyone else was unable to open the picts?
