But many of the poor Args in the Falklands didn't even know where they were, or why. >> Hi Russ, the guy I heard on the radio was a General. Presumably he knew where he was. By the way, I predicted the Falklands war nearly a year before it happened. Our Parliament in their wisdom voted against spending money on extending the runway at Stanley and, bearing in mind that the greatest concentrations of krill occur in those waters and that is going to be invaluable in the future I told my wife that the the message that decision sends to anyone looking longingly at the Falklands is that we are not interested in the place.( That must be the longest and most ill constructed sentence I have ever written. Cant be bothered to change it. Standards are slipping.....) Normally I wouldn`t bet on the sun coming up tomorrow but I was on the money with that one. Pat

However, Sikorsky was not involved, but a gentleman by the name of Skorzeny. >> Hi John, senior moment. As usual you are quite right. I knew B****y well that it was the wrong name. I have Skorzeny`s book on my shelf not 5 feet from where I sit at the confuzer. Just couldn`t bother to stir the memory banks up. Just dim, I guess. I DID know it was not Sikorsky the helicopter man. Honest. He was Russian anyway,( I think.) Pat do not archive

Hi Jeremy: How is your Kolbra project coming? Have you decided on, and found an engine for your new project? Got a few more chores to get accomplished before I get back to updating my mkIII and getting the new power plant installed. I am missing some beautiful flying weather down here at hauck's holler. john h mkIII DO NOT ARCHIVE

Hey John, What a coincidence! I'm running a discount sale on the Falkland Island for the rest of this week only. In fact if hurry and include a good used Chilly Vest along with your mkIII, and are willing to sign release papers for liability for the Island, and are willing to sign a no return clause on the sales agreement, you could have yourself a Beautiful Historical Falkland Island.
