For the kind words I'll let you view those pictures and video for free. :-)
John H.
I thought you would get a kick out of a slightly different perspective on your
takeoff and landing.
The M3X looked to me like it was doing just fine on total runway use. It's not
a single seat Firestar or a special design bush plane [Highlander]. It's a nice
multi-purpose two place pusher. With this in mind it seems to perform well
above average to me.

Mike,
Not sure what a pound costs today, the problem would be in transporting
it. I'm sure there would be all kinds of restrictions! Your welcome to
stop by and pick some up if interested. I use it occasionally for
creations of my own, such as a shock eliminating stabilizer for my bow.
Fascinating metal to work with.

Doubt the balance master would help much, never heard of a case where it did help
very much.
A much cheaper option is to make sure the blades have the same pitch. This is the
trick to a smooth IVO in 2-blades - with the hub bolts at full tightness, the
torque rods can be slightly "clamped" and won't move on their own when you're
in the region of natural pitch.
You can see this by, say, cranking the pitch adjust in a turn or two from natural
pitch and then back it out. You'll likely notice the screw unscrews very easily,
which means the cams are stationary while the screw moves through the "play"
between the cam and its big groove.
If that's happening, make sure when you're doing the pitch adjust to start, say,
overly coarse and only rotate the bolt in the fine direction until the right
pitch is achieved. DON"T back it out at that point, lock it down right there.
I ran the IVO in 2 blades for years on my trike with very smooth results as long
as I made sure of the above...... in 2-blades it's superb on a fast plane.....

In re mercury -- we used to rub dimes in kit -- before it was
poisonous. Try it.

As I said before, I found them to help. Even Rotax must have some faith
in them, they have something similar, a hydro dampener, on their larger
two strokers. Adjusting the pitch on a wood prop is a bit dicey!
Yeah, they won't make up for a poorly balanced prop, but will give that
final tweak to smooth things out.
Don't condemn that which you haven't tried,

Subject: | Re: Pennzoil 2 cycle oil best prices? |
Guys, I hate to start a panic here but Pennzoil has discontinued production
of this product, the only supply out there is what is in circulation. It has
something to do with Shell buying the product line. Lockwood is testing
several new products as a replacement. Lockwood recently bought the last 500 cases
available.
No one knows about this yet so it is a good time to stock up. Lockwood seems
to think that the replacement will be as good or better. Lockwood originally
did the testing for Rotax and Penzoil.

Subject: | 50 foot paint job and trailer for sale |
Gang,
Sorry, I should have mentioned that I am in the Southeastern part of
Oregon. Unfortunately the trailer will not accommodate anything larger
than a Firestar II. My asking price is $1800.00. Photos available.
