Russ,
May I suggest eBay? They usually have everything under the sun. Unfortunately,
most things don't sell for "dirt cheap", due ot the high exposure, but at
least you can often find what you are after. Here's an example:

Subject: | Missing John Williamson |
Kolb folks,
I've held off for a few days reponding to the news of our good friend John's
tragic accident. Damn sure it isn't because I didn't care!! The fact is, I
was SO SAD it, and it upset me very much!!! (Still does!)
I had just met John W., John H., Larry C. & his wife, Mike & his wife, and Dan,
a few days earlier at Monument
Valley. I still find it difficult to get my mind around the fact that John W is
gone!!
My sincerest simpathies to the Wiiliamson family. I know we all have lost a
good friend. My simpathies also extend to John H, Larry and Roger, for the unimmaginable
horror they faced trying to help their close friend.
May I ask that each and every one of you double check your preflight list, and
make sure your aircraft in tip-top shape? Also, be careful and fly as safe
as you can. Many people are counting on you (us all) to do the best we can, and
be safe doing it.
I still shake my head in disbelief!!!!

Subject: | Re: John Williamson's Funeral Times are now Firm! |
For all those who want to know John's services are to be held Tuesday, June 3,
2008, 11:00am Visitation, 12:00pm Service at Moore & Sons Funeral Home South Bowen
Chapel. Interment will be at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery at 2:00pm.
I wish to thank all of you for you kind thoughts and words. It has meant so much
to me to find out how many people John has touched. I am proud to know that
others found in him what I found the first time we met: what caught my eye and
stole my heart, the friendliest, most generous kind hearted person to know. I
will share with you I sent to John Hauck: We met Friday, May 13th 1977. I was
out on a date with another guy and he couldn't go to a class fish fry with me
the next day so he told me to ask one of the guys he introduced me to. I asked
John and he showed up 1 1/2 hours earlier then I told him to. He talked with
my dad the whole time. Dad instantly liked him. The next day he came to my graduation.
We dated the next 3 nights. He went out in the field came back the next
Tuesday. On Wednesday we had a date, came back to my home and set in his truck
talking. It was this moment that he told me that he thought that he would
never find a woman that he would want to spend the rest of his life with but
now he had. This was the night that he asked me to marry him. I was 17 he was
27. We married the day after I turned 18 and a week before he turned 28, July
25, 1977. My sister-in-law Grace asked about this and after going over the dates
and time frame it stuck me that he had asked me to marry him on the 25th. So
that day has double meaning to me: the day that the man that I would grow to
love and worship ask me to be his wife and the day 31 years later would be that
God chose to make him my angel to watch over me.
Many people told me I was an airplane pilots widow but in return I would state
that no I was a pilots wife who backs her mans joy of flying and would do nothing
to block or hinder that joy he found in the air soaring on the winds in the
seat behind the control or the aircraft that carried him to that height. I knew
when I met him what he was and the dangers that could be involved but did
not stop me from becoming his soul mate. John and I had 31 wonderful, joyful
years together and I would not trade that for anything in the world. Again thank
all of you for your support and being a part of his many flying adventures.
The young man he considered his grandson stated that: Now Grandpa John can fly
in his airplane always. This is from an 8 year old.

Subject: | Headed to Missouri |
Kolb people,
After quite a bit of planning and finally selling my Cessna 172, I am able to
proceed as scheduled to head to Missouri to begin construction on my hangar/shop.
I purchased property near Lake of the Ozarks last winter. 3 arce parcel 1/4
mile from the local airport. I've been a contractor for over 30 years, and will
build "one last time". First the shop/hangar for all the household stuff &
airplanes, and then I'll build the house.
Although my wife doesn't see the need for it, I am carting my Kolb MkIII with
me!! I plan on spending every hour working on the MkIII that I'm not busy working
on the shop. I'm not exactly "moving" just yet, only building the shop
first.
I've loaded the MkIII on a trailer, along with all my shop tools, and most of
my construction tools. The plan is to leave this Sunday early in the morning,
in my fully loaded F450 flat bed, pulling the trailer (Kolb). I may need a
co-signer for the diesel purchases.
There were several guys I was corresponding with about my upcoming venture.
If you guys are in the area (Lake of the Ozarks), stop by and say "Howdy".
I MAY not have much internet access for quite awhile........???

I'm (almost) right behind you, Mike. Got my downtown commercial
building and a single family house both sold and closed this morning. My
acreage is listed (anyone want a 4000' custom house with hangar and runway
on 40 acres in Nebraska?) and have been searching LOTO for a business to
start or buy. Sent in an app for Camdenton Schools as well. Ideally I'll
be rehabbing lake front houses there instead.
You're welcome to stop here if the need arises and it's on the way.

Hi Gang:
Today was a near repeat of yesterday.
Made a few more miles, then put down by high wind at Neosho, MO. It was 20 gusting
to 35 mph when I landed. Always a lot of fun trying to land in those conditions.
Luckily, the wind was blowing right out of the south and aligned with
the runway.
Since I RON'd here last year, and the year before that, Neosho has a new FBO.
Same airport manager who gave me the keys to the courtesy car and permission to
sleep in the pilots lounge tonight.
Hope to make it home tomorrow, abot 580 miles. This has been a long drawn out
fight from Oregon.
Take care,

I just came across the John W post and even though I have not met the man, I was
fully expecting to hook up with him and JH one of these days and do some Kolb
flying with both. I guess I am as dumbfounded as anyone at what I just read.
We have lost a few already from this list, folks be careful with this sport is
a tough one.
