    This may be working ok for you but I have two problems with it: -It appears that it could be drawing the worm AWAY from the slots. -I occasionally give a slight turn to all my hose clamps to compensate for gradual shrinkage of the rubber. As Bob B stated, he goes back periodically and snugs up his hose clamps because of shrinkage and compression. I do the same thing. If I had to cut and resafety the clamps every time I checked them for snugness, it would turn into a full time job. Did the screw back out on your clamp you lost on your engine, or did you forget to go back and snug them up periodically? john h mkIII - Just got home from flying last light flight with James T and his Son Patrick. The wire can not move the screw away from the slots. When I clamp something new, a replacement hose, I do not safety wire the clamp until the hose has been exposed to several thermal cycles. Then I re-snug the clamp and safety it. I used to periodically check all clamps, but I found that I had a tendency to give each one a little tweak and eventually over tighten them. Jack B.
