Great Pictures! Guys.

I had a bunch of those White Egrets nesting over a street from me in a big bush
tree.
The constant clucking day and night can drive you crazy.
The people that owned the tree cut it down to the trunk so the birds would not
come back next year....but they are pretty....just not in your backyard....LOL

I guess we know what happens on runway 32 when people have engine problems at your
airport.
Its Under the bridge and look for shallow water to ditch....perhaps life vests
are more important than parachutes for you guys.....LOL
Awesome pics guys keep it up....I'm loving it and it is inspiring me to hurry up
with my UltraStar so I can make my own contributions.

Hi all I see some Firestars has aileron balance wts on the ends of the ailerons
and some don't, the wt I suppose is to reduce aileron flutter is that the purpose?
Do they have any other effect on the aileron control like does the stick
feel any lighter or not?

Balance weights are a way to reduce the chance of flutter, if you don't have them
I would put them on, its just good design. Flutter occurs at higher airspeeds,
some day if you accidentally get going way faster than you wanted to, it
is a bad time to find out your ailerons are susceptible to flutter.
Balance weights will not lighten the stick forces, will not change your roll rate,or
make the stick feel any different. They are only a preventative measure
for flutter.
