Just an FYI on the set (2) that I have. They are LED an d mega bright. I hardly ever fly at night but have come in a few times as the sun dropped from the sky; and the lights lit up the field like a nigh t game at your favorite stadium. I think that I got the first set that Di ck Kuntzleman (Kuntzleman Electronics, Pottstown, PA), made about 3 yrs ag o. Mine are square & I should have them changed to the newer streamlined ones, but they ARE very bright. I've had more than a few "bumpy" landing s and fly from a hard, grass strip & the lights have worked without any pr oblems. Dick has been doing strobes & nav lights for year. I haven't spo ken to him since Homer's funeral, but I assume that he is still making the landing lights. I know that they are bright, less expensive then others and you can't beat his personal service. Also wondering if his MK II is still in mothballs or if he's flying lately . His Kolb is a beaut!
