It was a year ago today that I lost my excellent dad, we lost a very loving grandfather
and the world lost a great aircraft designer.
I don't know who, but someone was circling the farm this morning and I just wanted
to say thank you! I didn't get out in time to see what it was but it sounded
like a Kolb. Nothing could top the funeral tribute John Hauck and Dick Rahill
flew, but it's really neat to know people remember dad and continue to honor
him.
Travis I'm so sorry to hear of the loss of your dad.
Marcus Kolb

I lost a good friend that believed in and supported me through good times
and bad. No matter how many airplanes I broke, Homer was ready to
help/support me, get me back in the air to head out for another adventure.
He would often remind me I was his best test bed.
Homer, Clara, Marcus, and the rest of the Kolb family and Kolb Aircraft
folks have been a lot more than good friends over the last 26 years.
I miss Homer. It is difficult to accept the fact he is not out in his shop
working on an antique JD or his new electric powered airplane. I miss not
being able to call and get his valuable advice on airplanes, antique JD's
(he never accepted my other tractors that were not green), or life in
general.
When I would call, Clara always told me, "Homer is in the shop. He'll come
down to feed before dark."
You know...I still have the feeling he is close by.

Greetings,
I purchased some LED lights from http://www.superbrightleds.com to replace
the burnt halogen light bulb. The LED lights are not very bright much le
ss super bright.
Here is a video I took of the landing lights flashing, you can see right
away which is the halogen light and the LED. The Superbrightled does say
it's not for use as driving lights.
