Today is the last day of Kingsport's annual Fun Fest, and today they have 2 hare n' hound hot air balloon races, one in the morning and one in the evening. Decided to go this morning as the temps are suppose to get close to 100 this evening. Here are some pics and links to some videos I took. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m6Lj7c9cvOk http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R1urjxhuAiA Richard Pike MKIII N420P (420ldPoops) Read this topic online here: http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.php?p=306144#306144 Attachments: http://forums.matronics.com//files/p1170432_large_641.jpg http://forums.matronics.com//files/p1170430_large_131.jpg http://forums.matronics.com//files/p1170416_large_767.jpg http://forums.matronics.com//files/p1170413_large_127.jpg

    - Richard- I noticed on the second picture down, that the Stits on the bo ttom of your wing seems to be bulged down.- Almost like it is an inflated air bed, pressure on the inside.- Is this typical, or just a trick of th e light and the camera?- Nice pics, and a good view of the ground fog.- Also, is that a peel and stick patch on the bottom? - ------------------------- ----------------- Bill Sullivan ------------------------- ----------------- Windsor Locks, Ct. ------------------------- ----------------- FS 447

It does look that way, but looking at it in flight it is pushed up. And that's not a patch, it's the flat Lexan cover for the landing light. Thanks, Richard Pike MKIII N420P (420ldPoops) Read this topic online here: http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.php?p=306147#306147

Subject: Owyhee Canyon East of Rome
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xgITXXXY8Vk I flew East of Rome and down the Owyhee River for two reasons. One I wanted another flight with the new camera, and there is a spot there that I would like to be able to go in with my quad to a deep fishing hole. The walk is a killer coming back because it is about a 1000 foot climb, and it is generally 95 or more degrees when you come out. If you are loaded with fish, it gets a little too much to do comfortably. The ground is too rough however, and there is no trail down there. The BLM frowns on off road travel, and I cannot blame them, so its on foot or not at all. Another was a comment that I should ask my computer to do fades between scenes. I tried yesterday and felt that I had it down, so I wanted to put it into practice. Somehow I am getting some serious wobbling at full throttle. I will have to check into that later. In the scene after I make my last pass at one of the playa's, (I had a 10 mph tail wind, so I opted out on the touch and go) I join a Red-tailed Hawk in a thermal. It is a short clip and you have to be watching close, but he paid no attention to me other than to look at me over his shoulder. I should have said wobbling in the camera, not the plane. Larry Note: If you forward this email, please delete the forwarding history, which includes my email address. .Somehow I am getting some serious wobbling at full throttle. I will have to check into that later.

Richard, Looks good. How much longer is the TE tube and aileron than stock Kolb plans call for? Is LE the stock length? I'll be very interested in hearing your flight report when you are all finished. Gene Read this topic online here: http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.php?p=306176#306176
