I called Kolb when I wanted to learn to fly, they suggested time in a Kolb or a challenger. I looked a Dpe on the web and was directed to light sport instructors, I found 3 within 200 miles that flew challengers. I had no time in Kolbs before I flew my Firestar II and little time in an Aronca. The Challenger is OK but I like my Kolb far better in most ways. -------- Dale Whelan 503 powered Firestar II Projection, A simple and interesting Psychological concept Read this topic online here: http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.php?p=336291#336291

Dennis, Are we taking any bets on that? I know a lot of Kolb flyers, but I don't know any that haven't bent any. :-) Went to steel legs, to keep from bending them Larry

Larry, better re-read his post.... -you will never SEE him bend a landing gear. That is, unless he invites you to the viewing. Subject: Kolb flyers near Chattanooga?
    From: Daniel Breitigam <dbrtgm@me.com>
Hi all, I just finished readying my new (to me) Twinstar for flight. I've never flown a taildragger and I'm a little scared about flying this thing. I'm wondering if there are any Kolb owners near Chattanooga that could help me with a little co-pilot time before I fly it alone. Also I'm looking for a place to keep it. I'd like to share a hangar if anyone wants a break on hangar rent. Thanks! Dan

I am in the market for a 2 place folding wing aircraft. Will be flown from an unimproved farm field. Cruise speed is of no concern, STOL perf & rough field use are . What is the general opinion of a Mk3 compared to a Kitfox / Avid ? Thanks Read this topic online here: http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.php?p=336331#336331
