John
If you're leaving tomorrow, I probably won't catch you if you come through Mtn.
View, AR. I'll even buy you lunch the next time you come through and I'm here.
I'm heading for Fl. with g-kids Saturday morning.
Have an enjoyable, safe flight home.

John left the Rock House this morning for Rigby Idaho.
The little gathering was a lot of fun for Karen and myself. The weather
was occasionally interesting, but we didn't totally lose any full days,
we were able to fly at least part of each day. Our "carbon foot print"
was fairly substantial, but the economy received a much needed boost.

Left the Rock House for Alabama this morning. Departed with calm winds and landed
in Mountain Home, ID, with winds in the low 20's. Fortunately, they were
from the west and I covered a lot of miles at over 100 mph ground speed.
Flew 10 miles south of Sun Valley, ID, landed at Arco but not fuel available.
Made it into Rexburg, ID, tied down for the night after topping off the fuel tank.
My old SF buddy from 1961 was waiting for me when I landed. Will spend
the night with him and his family in Ririe, ID, then head south and east in the
morning. Hope to make it through the Rockies tomorrow and as far as Goodland,
KS, before dark. I can stay in the FBO tomorrow night, then shoot for Neosho,
MO, Saturday night. If all goes well I will be home Sunday afternoon.
The little MKIII and 912ULS continue to impress me with their ability and reliability.
Spent a while at 10,500 feet flying over the Rockies this morning. OAT
was 28F. Sun on the canopy and comfortable inside the cockpit.
This has been a great trip so far, despite the extended 11 day flight west. Got
my fingers crossed I can do a normal 4 day flight home.
