Been a lot of waiting involved in this flight. Weather is good until I get halfway home, around Tunica, MS. Then I will have thunderstorms to contend with. If I make it home today, this flight out and back will involve 18 days, normally, an 8 day flight round trip. This is the most weather I have encounted in my flyinj career on a cross country flight. Take care, john h mkIII Neosho, MO ________________________________ Message 2 _____________________________________ Time: 08:00:01 AM PST US Subject: Kolb-List: Re: Pennsylvania Kolb builder From: "awcbs" thanks for asking, name is AJ. just about done with the wings. Take care, john h >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> it is about a month late,,, the weather is just starting to take the turn for the better. the next week is supposed to be nice and sunny. beautifully calm in the morning and evening. i took my grandson a couple nights back, and he enjoyed a couple gentle roller coaster bumps... but i think i twisted his brain when i did about a 2 g turn of 360 deg. the next ride will have to be more gentile. boyd young Utah ________________________________ Message 4 _____________________________________ Time: 08:19:28 AM PST US From: Arksey@aol.com Subject: Re: Kolb-List: New blog and Video Larry, thanks for the blog...it is outstanding....jswan Jim Swan Kolb Firestar ll, 503 Rotax , 6147 Wilcox Rd., Eaton Rapids, Mi 48827 ph 517-663-8488 GPS GPS FOR MY RUNWAY N 42 deg 28.581 W084deg 44.825 ________________________________ Message 5 _____________________________________ Time: 10:47:24 AM PST US Subject: Kolb-List: Gap seal for a Mk IIIX (and C soon) From: Richard Girard I've been making a composite gap seal for Ken Holle's IIIX and thought I show some pictures of the process. Was a long, tough flight for anyone, especially a 72 year old kid, but I did it. Hauck's holler never looked so good, even with the 75 foot hickory laying across my yard and driveway, and next to my new boat house. Don't think the insurance company would have been too happy if that old hickory had destroyed the new one. Thunderstorms are raging outside, with lots of thunder and lightening. Not nearly as intimidating now as it was a few hours ago between Tuscaloosa, Alabama, and Gantt International Airport. Time to hit the hot tub. That has been my goal since I left Larry Cottrell's tub last week. Times a wasting. I'll share my flight home when I get out of the tub. Boy! That thunder storm is kicking butt!!! john h mkIII hauck's holler, alabama ________________________________ Message 9 _____________________________________ Time: 02:57:37 PM PST US From: "Larry Cottrell" Subject: Re: Kolb-List: Heading Home Again Glad that you made it John.
