Subject: | Rock house fly-in |
We are gathering this spring on June 23rd to the 30th for our annual Rock
House fly-in. Coordinates are 42 40. 419N 117 51.198 W. The airstrip is
dirt with about 3000 feet usable for general aircraft, with about 800 feet
more for Kolbs as if they needed it. A short 700 foot cross wind runway is
available for extreme conditions. Elevation is 4000 feet. This is an
unofficial gathering of friends, not limited to any specific aircraft, but
generally current or former Kolb pilots. The area is very remote,
facilities such as resturants and motels are scarce. Nearest one is 19
miles East. Scenery is Desert and quite beautiful.

I'll be there, probably a little bit early to rest up before
the rest of the gang arrives. ;-)
This will be my seventh flight to the Rock House from Gantt
International Airport, Alabama. Lord willing, this Fall
will be my sixth road trip to the Rock House. You'd think I
like it out there.
