I have replaced the right axel as it was bent. I don=92t know if that has anything to do with the difference in alignment. Are your landing gear the straight ones or the bent ones, which is what I have. Bend the landing gear seems a little drastic. I=92ve been told by an A&P to use shims in the same manner as they do Cessnas. Not gear legs though. I straighten gear legs using a hydraulic press. Axles are straightened by jacking up the wheel, removing it, and using a 5/8" ID water pipe, or whatever diameter the axle is, about 6' long, slip it over the axle until it bottoms out. Proceed to bend the axle where you want it. Will have to go a little past where you want it bent to get the job done. It is very easy to do, costs nothing, and one can bend the axle any one of 360 degrees. Toe in/toe out, bend the axle. Camber, bend the axle. Straight axles on trucks have been bent to align for years. The axles on Cessnas are bolted to the landing gear, hence the shimming recommendation. On both the aluminum and steel Kolb gear legs are inserted into a tube weldment and a single bolt pins them in place. As for bending the axles to bring the wheels into the toe in/out specification you want, remove the axle from the aircraft and bend it in a press using the TLAR method until it is where you want it. Kolb fuselages are built too light to do the bending on the aircraft. Alternatively, if the error is as small as you have measured, you can remove the AN 4 bolt the holds the gear leg in its socket, rotate the gear leg into alignment using the ground rod method specified by Richard Pike and others, clamp the tubing socket with a large "C" clamp to grasp the leg so it can't move and drill the hole out to AN 5 or 6. Or you could weld up the hole on the gear leg, anneal the leg by allowing it to cool very slowly, grind it back flush with the gear leg and redrill for the AN 4. As my dear departed Grandma used to say, "there's more than one way to skin a cat".
