If you make alignment corrections with wings off or folded, you may regret it. Before making any corrections, you need the airplane assembled in normal flying configuration WITH PILOT IN SEAT. Get a helper to plant his but in the aircraft seat before you drill holes. The added weight will make the gear legs want to spread let them. With race cars, we use greased plates to let wheels move freely; but thats overkill here. Just be aware and let the wheels move where they want to go before fixing alignment. -------- Jerry King Read this topic online here: http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.php?p=424537#424537 ________________________________ Message 2 _____________________________________ Time: 07:15:54 AM PST US From: "b young" Subject: Re: Kolb-List: Re: Xtra Control Problems the use of grease plates is good for planes as well... As my Rotax 670 is ready for testing and it's hard to get at the front cylinder with the engine on the plane, I decided to pull the 2si and come ahead with the Rotax swap. The leak is not internal as it runs fine so it's just the outer o-ring that's bad and I will be replacing it and the inner o-ring as a matter of course. Point being, as soon as the 670 is confirmed to be good to go, the 690L will be for sale. Details: 70hp at 6250 rpm, inline triple, 28mm Mikuni VM carbs, idles smooth down to 1400rpm, 2.65 to 1 reduction, heavy duty coated exhaust, original lighter exhaust with minor cracking also comes with it, several sets of gearbox rubber dampers, spare water pump, and various spare parts I've accumulated over the years. Has less than 150 hrs "I'm at work and don't remember the exact number in the log book", is sewing machine smooth with a three blade prop. "Prop not included" Entire cooling system and mounting brackets included, as well as triple Mikuni fuel pump. I have several good pics of the installation I can send to those interested as well as a recent vid of it idling happily at 1450rpm. Triple cable splitters and cables on the enricher's and throttles too. Best offer over $1200. 724-882-6788 Dennis "Skid" Rowe Mk3, 690L-70, Leechburg, PA ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Other Matronics Email List Services ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Post A New Message kolb-list@matronics.com UN/SUBSCRIBE http://www.matronics.com/subscription List FAQ http://www.matronics.com/FAQ/Kolb-List.htm Web Forum Interface To Lists http://forums.matronics.com Matronics List Wiki http://wiki.matronics.com Full Archive Search Engine http://www.matronics.com/search 7-Day List Browse http://www.matronics.com/browse/kolb-list Browse Digests http://www.matronics.com/digest/kolb-list Browse Other Lists http://www.matronics.com/browse Live Online Chat! http://www.matronics.com/chat Archive Downloading http://www.matronics.com/archives Photo Share http://www.matronics.com/photoshare Other Email Lists http://www.matronics.com/emaillists Contributions http://www.matronics.com/contribution ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- These Email List Services are sponsored solely by Matronics and through the generous Contributions of its members.
