Larry Again great Video. The mount looks great. I need to start working on narration and adding music. It gives your videos a professional touch. My drift has those adhesive mounts I have used them on my Kayak a few times this winter. They work well on low vibration things. On my Kolb I found that a layer of duck tape between that two parts of their quick mount keeps the camera from bouncing around in flight. I personally like the effect of seeing part of the plane in the video. The problem has been finding a place where I can mount the camera pointing forward and not filling half the video with airplane. The lens has a real wide angle. I have a heel spur. I have so far been able to put off the problem with a different foot bed in me shoes Rick Neilsen Redive VW powered MKIIIC On Sun, Feb 15, 2015 at 11:45 PM, Larry Cottrell <lcottrell1020@gmail.com> wrote: > As you might recall, I had a bone spur removed from one of my feet. Rick, The problem with having some of the plane in the video is that there is really nowhere that you can put it far enough back to do that other than on the wing, that doesn't rattle and roll. The drift has a ?tripod screw" in the bottom that allows one to utilize shorter connection links. I had some success with earlier cameras with drilling a hole in the lexan windshield and mounting it there. That left most of the nose in the picture, and I kind of liked that, but each camera is different in the way that it handles harmonic vibration. The drift is pretty good, but its length will require a rather long arm, and will thus intensify the vibration. You can always try. What do you have to loose, after all you only have to fly. The bone spur in my foot was about 3/4 inch long and it was on the facing part of my heel. When I stepped down it was digging into the pad that covers the bottom of your foot. A shot of cortizone would take care of it for a couple of months, but it was still digging a groove in the pad. I do a fair amount of walking in the summer and fall, so I decided to get rid of it during the slack time of the winter. I can only take two cortizone shots at the most any way. This from experience. You actually spend two weeks on crutches, and then it is just a bit weak for a while. The Dr says "all discomfort goes away at 4 months, just like clockwork." I actually had little in the way of pain. They gave me a bottle of pain pills, and I took three, and actually needed none. Looking forward to some of your videos. Great Video Larry! Your 61 degrees sounds great, good to watch while still sitting inside here in Minnesota as it is still -2 outside. -------- West1m Hastings, MN Read this topic online here: http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.php?p=438483#438483
