Hi Charlie, i think the only way to do that is to leave a tape recorder running with the mic close to your computer. Too complex for me. It is called `Atrak the other Otter` and is an updated version of Tarka the Otter, Wind in the Willows etc. Being the well read lot I know you all to be you will be familiar with these stories. My book will be serialised at 10 pm UK time for the next 6 Saturdays, (starting tomorrow 7th March) in 30 minute chunks. Tune in your computer to www.dovercommunityradio.co.uk and press the cassette in the top right corner at that time and enjoy. If you have a small child aged around 8/9 around they might well enjoy it too, but on a different level. There is one chapter where Atrak goes flying, gliding I admit, but heigh ho, which you might enjoy. You won`t get all the jokes, in fact unless you are a certain age (remember Kilroy?) you will miss some altogether but I hope you find it amusing. Dover Radio programmes are broadcast on radio down a swathe of the UK South coast and streamed worldwide at the url above. Responses come from Oz,NZ, Canada, USA. Dover Radio and myself will be very interested in any feedback you care to pass our way. Thanks for your indulgence Pat Hi Pat, Will it be archived for later downloads? Thanks, Charlie

Hi Pat, if you would like to save it for posterity, there is a free downloadable program that is quite safe called Audacity. http://audacity.sourceforge.net/ You can use it to record either from a mic, or it will record whatever your computer is playing through the speakers. It is open source software and designed to be user friendly, quite simple to configure, any 14 year old ought to be able to do it for you without reading the instructions in 2 or 3 minutes, or you could read the instructions and do it yourself in 10. -------- Richard Pike Kolb MKIII N420P (420ldPoops) Kingsport, TN 3TN0 "Living for your own pleasure is the least pleasurable thing a man can do.
