Can you post it when you find out so the rest of us don't have to search individually?
Thank you.

Talked with Bryan this morning. The older m3x like mine (2004) was changed from
the mps of 1.5 dihedral and 1.4 aoi for the wing. He explained to me that the
top of the root rib wing mounting tab and the top of the fork mounted on the
end of the carry thru spar should match. He said it used to be they matched at
the bottom. The horizontal stab location is now one quarter inch higher measuring
from the bottom of the leading edge horizontal.stab tube to the apex of the
boom tube measured from the the side of it.

Try this link:
http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.php?t=82076&highlight=incidence+angle
>From the text I retrieved the following:
Using the engine mount as the datum angle, the bottom surface of the MK3X
wing should be +2.8 degrees. The boom s/b -6.1 degrees. The horizontal
stabilizer may need to be set as much as -1 degree in reference to the boom
(-7.1 degrees from the motor mount datum) in order to get the plane to fly
in trim.

been a while since I built my first Firefly...could call Bryan...but
since Travis left...know he is very busy...
got all my "left behind Parts" from California today...after more
than a month of promises...Even the engine mounts! :-) 10 gal tank and
fuel gauge sender... this firefly was going to be heavy!!!
Question...It appears that the book and plans manual do not show the
two sets of Pulleys coming directly from the rudder pedals and control
stick(under the seat, two to each side of the aileron torque tube, ...
so...Which side,,,standing behind the cockpit and looking down, does the
top Elevator cable thread through? I know they occupy the inner two
pulleys...and likely it does not matter..It probably matters that
pushing the stick forward moves the elevator down...:-) .Herb

Herb,
I don't think it really matters. I mounted the turnbuckle directly to the joystick
and picked the down elevator cable (upper cable on joystick) to go on the
right side. Since the turnbuckle had to go on one side or the other, I used that
to pick the pulley.
I think there was a joystick revision somewhere along the Firefly line as mine
was not the same as what was in the manual.
You can kind of see it here: http://harnerfarm.net/serenity/Images/building1/seatlg.JPG
If you want a different picture, I can send one to you.
Stuart
Looking forward to visiting with Bryan at OSH in a couple of weeks. Are you going?

Guess I could have taken a clue from the plans that show the top
elevator cable going to the right middle pulley on the assy at the front
end of the boom tube... :-)
will not be at Oshkosh...will see Bryan and Helen and Dennis next
week...going through there on my way to visit Kin in East Ky...Herb

Subject: | Re: Jabiru Engine Performance and Cooling |
What type of prop is best for the 2200 engine? I've heard several who
like or have a wooden prop. I wonder what would be the best composite
prop for a jabiru 2200? Does this engine require a certain prop mass
(weight) in order to operate smoothly with this engine?

all. I've read a lot about the cooling problems with that engine but
it's always been sensitive to the engine cowls around it. As an exposed
pusher it cools fine. The only problem I ever had was when I installed
a BRS (ballistic parachute). I installed the VLS and it disrupted the
flow of air to the Cylinder Heads. I removed it and installed the
canister BRS and the problem was solved. The folks at BRS were great to
work with on that project. I prefer the Kolb over the 912 because it's
direct drive off the crank just like a Cessna. I like looking at my TAC
and seeing 2600 RPM.

I am concerned about cooling that engine as a pusher. Please let me know
if you have any experience, positive or negative, regarding a Jabiru
engine, especially regarding any cooling issues.
