Going to mention my friend has rethought his pricing on his great little firestar.
This craft has been striped bare and rebuilt from ground up. Nothing was
spared my attention. I have done seven kolbs in my years and this was special.
The seven rib wing was re-Inforced on leading edge spars with angles as designated
by Hauk. Nothing was overlooked. All new fabric (not ultralight crap)
and zipper gap seal. The yellow and blue was military as his trainers past.
I fashioned a flip over canopy as my slingshot has for ease of entry. I installed
a ten gallon gas tank with elect pump. Instruments are not fancy, just
functional (KISS). There was nothing wrong with the 503 but was sent to miss
Lite for reconditioning. Went through registration and inspection from DAR and
I flew off airworthy time. The owner started having multiple health issues
and continued to hope to again fly it. I kept it running and flying. He has a
chute designed for kolbs in box never opened close to repack time to sell separate.
This craft is for all intent and purpose "NEW". He has decided to let
it go to a good home for $8500. It will have a fresh annual and/or pre-purchase
inspection this week. I will send photos if sincerely interested. I can fashion
a trailer for it. You will not find a better deal for a rocket as this.

Hi all, could someone please post a picture of there mx3 door latch so I can get
an idea of its position on the door post and installation. My kit is of the
2004 vintage.
Thanks, Gene Wilson

I haven't been flying very much lately for one reason or another. Today the
skies were clear, and the winds very respectable. There was a layer of
bumpy stuff around 5400 feet, but it smoothed out at 6000. Still had a
headwind, but it was as smooth as silk.
I decided to take a couple of my Rat traps to a neighbor who had been
having problems with Pack Rats in his quad. His dogs had torn out the
wiring twice in frustrating attempts to get to the varmints. It was as good
an excuse to fly as I could find.
I leaned out the engine as I climbed to altitude to 1330 EGT. My flight was
one hour and 6 minutes, burning 2.5 gph.
