Someone mentioned flying all winter using skis. They mentioned it took a lot of power to get moving with the skis. Having put the Firefly on it's nose using too much power while stuck in a rut before I was just wondering how this works out for people? Do many fly in winter? -------- West1m Hastings, MN Read this topic online here: http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.php?p=449399#449399

I try to fly in the winter,, but keep it on the wheels. when I drove snowmobiles, the metal skis would stick,, put on plastic skins and Eliminated the sticking. local flyer built skis from snow boards. they were built with the wheels through the skis. he could land on hard surface or the snow.
