    Subject: MkIIIC for sale
    From: Robert Laird <rlaird@cavediver.com>
Over the past few years I've gone through several major life changes, some bad, some good, but the bottom-line is that I can no longer provide the TLC needed for my Kolb and I won't be around long, so I need to sell it quickly, so I'm putting it up at a bargain basement price: MkIIIC -- N# 553RL (certified as an eLSA) 234 hrs TT Airframe, Engine & Prop 100hp Rotax *912ULS* Always hangared 2 six-gallon tanks Electric fuel pump Airspeed gauge EIS with engine info BRS Chute (expired) Intercom Odyssey battery 3-blade *Warp Drive* prop hydraulic disc brakes Thomason stainless steel exhaust Photos: https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.4298307717.41.500807717&type= 1&l=f368fa4ce6 Video showing the unfolding/folding of this MkIII: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uGblkR8cdYE Price: $17,000 This price *includes* a fully enclosed aluminum trailer (see photos). =8B The plane is located near Waller, TX (37XA : Skydive Houston). Full-disclosure issues: I have not flown it much in the past couple of years, so it does need some TLC. Currently, the gap seal needs repair or replacement. The other issue is that the original builder did a sucky job with the hydraulic brake lines, and right when my life fell apart I had just torn up the aluminum floorboard to get at the brake system (he riveted the entire floor!); I never finished the brake repair or replaced the floorboard. Bottom line: the plane flies very well, but without brakes you'll need to land it on grass until you get the brakes repaired. I have flown it and landed on my grass landing strip and used the grass taxiways without any issues with stopping. (To be specific, the discs, pads, lines are all good; it just needs a reservoir to be added, connect the lines and then an air purge. It will also need a new floorboard.) If you are handy and can address these minor issues, this would be a great project. If you aren't into experimental aviation maintenance tasks, then this might not be the plane for you. If I can't sell it in the next 4 weeks, it will go back into hibernation mode until I get back to town (at which time, I will try again to sell it). Please contact me off-list.
