The little sojourn into who pays what tax to keep their KOLBS in various countries/states has run its course. We can all get back to fascinating things like how many holes in the rudder post or how to generally mess about with an airplane which is perfectly OK if you leave it as Homer designed it. It so happens that my water bill for the end of last November to the beginning of this May has just arrived. First. There is no extra to pay for a hose if you pay by watermeter. Charges are for 50 cu mtrs (10000 gallons) and includes charges for sewerage (on the basis that what comes into the premises goes out as sewerage) Total 223.81p. Just for interest. I think the taxes are lower in the Middle East. And actually I find posts about Kolb repairs and modifications interesting - even though I fly a Talon. So please aim your political e-mails to some other list. I think John started it by talking about how much his kolb was taxed per year. Relax and go fly your Talon. The rest of my post was Kolb related, I think. Yes it was. I was talking about not registering Gantt International Airport. Discussion of British water bills doesn't belong on the Kolb List. Come Patrick/Kolbers, I did say please. ;-) john h mkIII Titus, Alabama "Rex Rodebush" Arty, I think John started it by talking about how much his kolb was taxed per year. ________________________________ Message 7 _____________________________________ Time: 10:06:35 AM PST US Subject: Kolb-List: 503 for sale From: Larry Cottrell I have a 503 with less than 300 hours that I want to sell. It has an intake silencer- dual carbs, dual mags, auto oiler. Worked fine for me, but used too much gas. Will sell for $2,000 plus shipping. From: "Fatetrix" Hi, New to the group. I just bought a Firestar and have been looking for a manual for the plane. The factory said they have one to sell for $80. Kinda steep. Are there any alternatives? Is it a useful document? Thanks, Russ Read this topic online here: http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.php?p=456167#456167 ________________________________ Message 9 _____________________________________ Time: 02:31:40 PM PST US From: Bill Berle Subject: Re: Kolb-List: firestar manual $80? Is it a kit or is it a flying airplane? If it is a kit you definitely need the builder's manual. The manual is not very thorough but it does explain and guide you well enough to build it. If it is a flying airplane you may be able to get by without the builder's manual, taking advice and guidance from the more experienced Kolb owners on this discussion board.
