Hi, i think you missed the beginning of this. i was expressing surprise that the Americans pay a tax for actually possessing something. Boat, plane etc. In the UK you can have as many cars ,boats planes or anything else as you like and apart from a 22.5% Tax when you buy them, thats it. You may have to pay a tax for a licence to actually operate them but you can fill your outhouses with goods and no tax is due. The Middle East? depends. Some are so inefficiently taxed there are dead camels in the street. Some have enough oil coming out of the ground to have to pay no tax at all. Cheers Pat From: Denny Baber Sent: Thursday, May 12, 2016 1:15 PM Subject: Re: Kolb-List: Re: runway advicerunway advice Pat, Do I understand that you are complaining that your taxes are too high because you have to pay to have taxes on your car, motorcycle, boat, boat motor, boat slip and airplane? I think the taxes are lower in the Middle East. Respectfully, Dennis Baber (305) 814-7218 baberdk@gmail.com Stay Curious

I'm doing some updates and want a manual for a thorough inspection. Good news, member Ted is graciously sending me a used manual. Thanks Ted. Finally had time to haul my Firefly home and check into the electrical troubles. Fortunately I started with an ohm meter instead of a wrench. Nothing wrong with the lighting coil, a broken wire right at the crimp of a wire end at the regulator. It was still connected looking but no contact. -------- West1m Hastings, MN Read this topic online here: http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.php?p=456217#456217
