Subject: Placement options for CHT probe
Greetings from Sebastopol, CAHas anybody used a cylinder head bolt ( immedi ately next to a spark plug) instead of the probe ring=C2-under the plug? I am currently using the cylinder head bolts, wanting to eliminate the wear and tearon the probe ring when checking/changing plugs. Seems that the tem p. readings are lower- maybe due to the heat lost near a fin?FSII 503 dcdi =C2-EIS monitorCHT runs around 100-120 deg John Fitt

The plug is the hottest spot in the cylinder. --- This email has been checked for viruses by Avast antivirus software. https://www.avast.com/antivirus
