Met the FAA inspector at the hanger this morning. Real pleasant guy. He
took around 45 minutes looking over the plane and asking questions. He
said he really liked the Kolbs because of their simplicity and how well they
flew. He also liked them because they were a good reliable airplane. He checked
all of the placards and instrument labling to make sure they were
       done correctly.

After that he ask for my construction log. He ask to see pic's of how it
was when I brought the project home and pic's of it finished. Then, he checked
my log book for the proper checks and entries. After that and a
few comments, he signed it off and wished me well.

It took two weeks from sending in my request for an inspection until it was sign
off and ready for 'phase 1'.

Excellent! Glad you had a good experience getting your Kolb registered.

My experience with the inspector that did my MKIII was also excellent, 26
      years ago.
