With my Firestars full enclosure kit came the long windshield and center windshield support tube that ran from the dash to the top overhead ring support. That was the most comfortable addition, The long windshield that extended to your shoulder. It made communication on the radio possible as well as ending the fatigue from air buffeting. The minimal windshield we had on it before was not very good. We would like to see other options for windshields for the Firestar / Firefly, hopefully this next time we can come up with something that works better to keep the wind buffet in your face to a minimum. > Thanks - Richard & David > > -------- > Richard Pike > Kolb MKIII N420P (420ldPoops) > Kolb Firefly Part 103 legal (Engine is in place, now for the wiring. Today I removed the vertical and horizontal stabilizers, I also removed the elevator and all remaining brackets from the rear of the boom. Of coarse this is what she looks like now. This is what I used on my FS. Normal windshield with a faring. Worked good. Could wear a base ball cap and my eye glasses without goggles. Before, the wind hit me right in the face.
