I flew it as an ultralight, and to my knowledge it never had been registered. The previous owner also flew it as an ultralight. He had no information as to it's history and no paperwork. I just took it 'as is' and hit the road and the air, and it served me well. The vertical stab had been modified in a very distinctive way, and the trailer is also very distinctive. These features can be seen in the blog http://jgflyingroadtrip2013.blogspot.com/ Someone may remember seeing these features in the past and might be able to bring up some history.... I know the difficulties of planning, building, and flying cross country flights in a Kolb. No way I would ever attempt to do the trips that you have done. Was sitting here reading your blog wondering what it would be like if I decided to go to Australia and do the same thing you have done several times here in the US. The foreseeable and unforeseeable problems are monumental. Glad we got to spend time together sharing travel stories on a couple of your trips. john h mkIII Titus, Alabama From: owner-kolb-list-server@matronics.com [mailto:owner-kolb-list-server@matronics.com] On Behalf Of JC Gilpin Sent: Wednesday, October 31, 2018 3:18 AM Subject: Kolb-List: Re: My Firestar 2 Build That was the aircraft that I used for the travels that I did over in the USA in 2013,14,15.
