It is just a flat piece of alum bent to give the right angle to the camera. I added a bit of shock rubber to keep it from flexing. Mounted on the nose cone is the only place on my plane that will give me a reasonable vibration free spot to put it. I personally prefer to get the full view in front of me, and if I want selfies I use the wing secure point to give a different view.
