I believe the Hacman allows you to move the jet needle into or out of the needle
jet to lean or richen the cruise mixture according to the exhaust gas temperature.
Most likely around 1100-1200 at cruise but down below 900-1000 at full
power

that the carbs were rejetted for the 7100 ft altitude of Taos but it appears
it was not. What the machine does have is a HACman inflight mixture control installed.
That is what they must have meant when I was told it was rejetted. The
actual owner of the plane had passed away and I got the info 2nd hand. I have
been on the HACman website and this thing looks interesting but still trying
to figure out how it works exactly. Don't know if it will really be a benefit
to me here in the lower altitudes of SoCal (740ft). Thanks to everyone who supplied
info/insight to the carb jetting, I will keep this info as it was helpful!

Just checked out the HACman web site. Latest generation controls bowl pressure
to lean or richen mixture. Lots different from a few years back. Better see what
you have and then get the manual from HACman

It looks like I have the 1st Gen version of the HACman. They all work the same,
leaning the mixture of the carbs by float bowl pressure regulation. Here is an
article I found on an Avid/kitfox site that explains it and shows how to do
the same thing for lots less $$$.

that there is supposedly a notable difference in performance/fuel consumption.
