Bill, I always wondered what happened to your Firestar but I thought it would be insensitive to ask (I am SUCH a sensitive guy, just ask my wife :-}) I'm about to start rebuilding my Mk III, I know how expensive it will be, but I want to fly it again so badly I'll find the money somehow. Best to you and thanks for being a friend on FB. Rick On Wed, Feb 19, 2020 at 3:47 PM william sullivan <williamtsullivan@att.net> wrote: > Ed- Keep us all posted with your progress. Rick- My wife retired, so we couldn't afford to stay in Connecticut. Sold the house to a flipper, and sold or gave everything away. Paid cash for a n ice place in North Carolina, and love it here. Still have the 52 acres and a cabin up on a mountain in northern Vermont, and spend summers there. I wa s considering putting in a landing field there, but money got tight. Cheap food, gas, and utilities here in NC. Lots of open fields here, and there is an airport in town. Might do it aga in, if the money is right. My Kolb was getting some damage from ice falling off of trees, and the chi mney cleaner was drooling over it. I gave it to him, with it's trailer and all of the special tools and chemicals. I am still very interested in the List. Similar life courses. My girl friend (now my wife) hated Seattle. I loved it, but hated the traffic. I'm from Kansas so I suggested we go there. She had nine years with the VA but couldn't get hired in Seattle but when she applied for a position at the Bob Dole VA in Wichita they hired her over the phone. I took her to Wichita then went back to Seattle to get my house ready to sell. The listing came out at 10 a.m. and it sold by 3:00 p.m. the same day. We found a place just outside Wichita with 5 acres in an airport community for 1/3 what the Seattle place sold for so I was able to buy a Mk III too. Been here 14 years now and except for missing hang gliding in the Cascades I've never regretted it. Take care, Rick On Sat, Feb 22, 2020 at 11:29 AM william sullivan <williamtsullivan@att.net > wrote: > Rick- My wife retired, so we couldn't afford to stay in Connecticut.
