As a retired professional mechanic who started my career as a motorcycle snowmobile
mechanic I can tell the quality of castings and external parts are a work
of art. though this does not guarantee mechanical success I have found that most
times a company that spends so much time on the small details usually produce
exceptional products. I estimate that the Polini will save approximately
25 lbs of installed weight. I purchased the current black crankcase version which
is supposed to have improvements to the starter and improved fuel consumption.
Time will tell. Unfortunately I have several projects which I must complete
before mounting the new engine.

Richard,
Both fittings will be reduced down & joined to a T fitting.
I was uncertain of the vent cap / termination methods.
suggestions welcome.
