That is not an Ultrastar, it's one version of a Firestar. I can't tell any more without looking at the wings. Most all ultralight and very light sport planes you can't land like a norma l airplane, at idle. Im guessing that you are trying to fly this like a big ger airplane. They don't have the mass to flare without stalling higher tha n you want. If you are at idle you will run out of elevator before you can fully flare because your airspeed will drop off quickly when you try to fla re.=C2- You will have to carry power to the ground. This is somewhat typi cal of ultralight and light sport aircraft and many GA pilots don't underst and that these fly differently. Subject: Oil injection cable
Hello fellow flyers: I bought a firestar11 recently and I have been replacing parts for safety.in specting the oil injection cable I noticed the cable that connects to the oi l control arm looks really worn. There is a washer behind the connection tha t looks like it would come off without much pressure (as seen in the picture )I can just see it coming off and going into the prop.I just need to know ho w long the cable is so I can replace it. It=99s a rotax 503 dual bing c arbs/plugs up. I know there are different lengths for different applications I tried to measure it carefully with a cloth flexible seamstress tape but d ecided to ask my pilot friends. Thanks for any help....Dana Sent from my iPhone
