Subject: | Re: HKS voltage regulator |
Larry,
It=99s been a while since I sold the HKS, but I seem to remember
it worked just like most stator engines out there. This is the
regulator I will use if/when my 912 regulator dies, from Amazon. I found
it was the best replacement through the Rotax list a while back.
DB Electrical AKH6004 Voltage Regulator for around $25
Most AC to DC regulators for 12v work the same way, the nice thing about
this one is it has a =9Ccharge=9D warning light output on it
like the Rotax ones do, although I had a volt meter read out when I had
the HKS.
Hope this helps, I don=99t post often, so I will take this
opportunity to tell you how much I enjoy your videos.

In general I would agree that only Kolb related discussions be allowed. However
I believe the Covid virus is an exception for the following reason. I believe
many of the small plane/ultralight manufactures are pursuing a passion, not getting
rich. With the cancellation of Air Venture and so many other shows and
fly ins the opportunity to display their wares and generate sales is diminished.
Combine that with so many out of work and I fear we may loose some fine vendors.
Discussion here and on other forms could lead to workable solutions. As
in politics there are rabid supporters of acceptable procedures, all or nothing.
Lets not fall into that trap, lets find workable and safe ways to support the
vendors who have provided us with such wonderful low cost flying machines.

Oh, Ducatti SS - thank you for the offer...no, I want the entire Fir Fly kit.
I have asked Kolb if they would deliver it to me in central Colorado for the same
price as they had offered to drive and meet me half way with the spars only.
We will see what the say .. I hope I hear from them soon.
Your offer was kind and I appreciate it.
John

This is the flight that my ? voltage regulator ? bit the dust and left me
sweating for about 40 minutes. At least I think that is what happened. I
have a new one on order.
I heard from another source that the messages coming from Matronics list
come with a warning that the message might be spam. Mine has come with that
warning for quite some time, and there is nothing wrong with my computer,
but I still get that warning. Any one else?
Larry
