Subject: | after breakdown report |
Perhaps you might remember my problems after my Aug 2 flight wherein my EIS
went crazy. While it for the most part seems to be corrected, I still do
not understand fully why it happened. Apparently it was a cascade type of
event where the final straw was the disconnection of one of my fuel tanks,
capacitance wires.
One of my "smart" friends came for a visit and we began to try to find my
problem. My EIS was showing19 volts and all kind of weird readings on all
the sensors. While we were trying to figure out what could be the problem,
I flicked the switch which reads my fuel sensors. (With that I remember
that was the lead up to all my EIS problems. ) Its a double pole double
throw switch, so that I can see how much is in each tank. I flicked it to
the other side and we momentarily had sanity back again. Tracing the wires
found that one of them had came out of the squeeze connector. All in all we
found about 3 wires that were loose. The high voltage burned out my little
warning light I guess.
I also replaced my voltage regulator, @ double the cost of last time. as
well as replaced the 22000 capacitor. None of which had any effect on the
problem. Go figure :-/. Anyway back in the air in time for our fly in.

The sound is not what I was after in background noise, but perhaps the
music is lower in proportion to my voice, perhaps why the background noise
is audible. Maybe next time.
