Is there anyone with a Mark III anywhere near south-central Wisconsin that would let me sit in their Classic or Xtra for a fitting? I am 6'3" but longish torso. Failed a fit in a Sonex today. There was no one around at Airventure this year when I stopped by for a fitting in a Mark III there. Thanks! I used to have a hangar that had a fairly steep incline from the taxiway to the door and was able to back my Cherokee 180 in by hand until winter when there was ice. I mounted an el-cheepo boat winch on the back wall of the hangar and put an extra long rope on it so it would reach the tail tie down ring when the plane was at the bottom of the incline. It took a lot of turns of the crank but it was easy to do. These days you can get a 12v winch that will pull 2500# for under $100. I use one to run the door/ramp on my trailer/hangar for the firefly. An old car battery and a solar charger keep it ready to go.
