Might be worth digging around in their site. Charlie -- This email has been checked for viruses by Avast antivirus software. www.avast.com

When I was looking for the 5 gallon ones last winter, I bought 2 of these 5 gallon ones. https://www.uline.com/Product/Detail/S-16915/Jugs/F-Style-Jugs-5-Gallon-Natural?keywords=S-16915 Jay Sent:Sunday, August 13, 2023 at 11:23 AM From:"Charlie England" <ceengland7@gmail.com> To:kolb-list@matronics.com Subject:Re: Kolb-List: MK3 Classic - Rotax 912 On 8/13/2023 10:53 AM, Charles White wrote: > > I am the original owner of my MK3 and have 2 - factory 10 gal poly fuel tanks that I want to replace. Is there a tank at that manufacturer that is listed for use with fuel? I ask because they indicate on the website: " Not for fuels or oils & does not meet UN standards " ---------------- All the best, Al Fuller -----Original Message----- From: owner-kolb-list-server@matronics.com <owner-kolb-list-server@matronics.com> On Behalf Of Charlie England Sent: Sunday, August 13, 2023 10:23 AM Subject: Re: Kolb-List: MK3 Classic - Rotax 912 On 8/13/2023 10:53 AM, Charles White wrote: > > I am the original owner of my MK3 and have 2 - factory 10 gal poly fuel tanks that I want to replace. Got a pic of the original Kolb tank you're replacing? I'd be surprised if it's approved for UN service (or gasoline), either. To get a feel for what mfgrs' and vendors' legal departments write: see this Aircraft Paint Remover? http://kleanstripauto.com/products/aircraft-paint-remover If you read the label, they tell you in bold, all caps: 'DO NOT USE ON AIRCRAFT'. The Kolb website shows a 5 gal tank for the Mk3 priced at $50. http://www.kolbaircraft.com/markiiipartslist.htm If it's rated for UN service, they are being very charitable to their customers with their pricing. In this article about the Mk3Xtra by Dan Johnson, there's a pic showing 2 of the 5gal tanks that I linked earlier. https://bydanjohnson.com/pilotreport/refined-kolb-mark-iii-xtra/ Here's a link to a post I made a few years ago, showing the original Twinstar 5gal tank, the replacement tank I linked earlier, and an 8gal tank I sourced from the same company and actually installed in the Twinstar. http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.php?p=472172 FWIW, Charlie -- This email has been checked for viruses by Avast antivirus software. www.avast.com
