Subject: | covering twinstar |
I am looking for advice on purchasing the fabric for my Kolb. I purchased a
Twinstar in 2018. I finally have the time to start building the plane. I am
putting in an order with Aircraft Spruce but I'm not sure what width of
finishing tape to use to cover the seams. If anyone can offer any
assistance I would appreciate it.
Cheers!
Rich

I "think" you use 3" on seams and 2" on surface contact areas like ribs.
Do you have the covering instructions from Kolb?
Look at the Poly Fiber web site, they have lots of good info and videos
on how to do certain things.
I can look up the instructions from my Firefly, but it may be different
sizes than for the Twinstar.
Hopefully there is someone still left on this forum that can answer your
questions better than I.
